Purpose

I love the satisfactory feeling that I get after I accomplished something. It gives me greater purpose and helps me realize that I am of value because of what I did. But if I do something for someone else, be it family or stranger, that feeling is magnified. Leo Rosten said this:

“I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all.”

Wouldn't it be neat if we all did at least one kind thing for someone else every day? What would the world be like then? I know some might think that is more a fantasy world and would never happen, but let's make believe that it could happen. And then actually do it.
